Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35-39
Tonight was my second lesson on God's Love. We have one more week in this series before we go into The Passion of Christ. This week i broke the kids into groups and had them look up verse that had to do with being in God's hands and how powerful His love is. The kids really responded well and had great idea's and questions. After youth group was over and several of the kids left i sat outside with a handful of the kids and just talked and laughed. It reminded me of when i was a teenager at this youth group. Just getting to hang out outside in the dark waiting for parents to pick up kids. I loved tonight and look forward to finishing this series and started the next, the kids are excited and that is the best time for them to hear God's voice!
I even enjoyed a long conversation after i got home with one of the kids on AIM, it felt good to know God was speaking to the kids tonight. And that His word is really starting to take affect on them. God is AWESOME and He is changing lives!
